The incorporation of information technologies in the healthcare industry follows the logic of irreversible trends. One can only ask when, because sooner or later, no organization will be immune to the digital transformation. One of the key levers in this push to modernize the industry is the use of cloud computing.
169 respondents from 11 countries in Latin America took part in this report by eHealth Reporter. Among them, CEOs, CIOs, medical directors and other executives or system managers.
The study shows that 46% of respondents say that their healthcare organization currently uses cloud services. And another 40% do not use them, but they have plans to do so in the future. In total, 9 out of 10 respondents were open to using Cloud Computing in their organization.
But what are the main challenges, barriers and opportunities of using Cloud Computing? Why is it one of the cornerstones in the digital transformation process of hospitals?
